7 Klaviyo ops you should run in Claude every week

A 2-point drop in abandoned cart recovery does not send you an alert. On a flow processing 12,000 carts, it quietly costs $22K over 60 days.

Klaviyo tracks a lot in the background that you are not actively watching. Flows and segments update continuously, integrations break, and the dashboard does not tell you any of this until it shows up in the numbers.

The Klaviyo connector takes five minutes to set up and gives every chat read access to your live account - campaigns, flows, segments, profiles, and metrics.

An operator I shared this with runs at least seven of these (from the 27 prompts in the library) every week. Here is what each does:

1/ Weekly performance digest

Pulls revenue vs the prior week, top three campaigns by revenue, flow health across welcome - browse abandonment - cart abandonment, subscriber adds, and any metric that moved outside its normal range. Returns a one-line recommendation on what to test next based on what it found.

Saves as a dated markdown file to Drive. Run it every Monday, and 6 months later, you can scan back through the files and see when the metrics started drifting - not just where they are now. (requires Cowork on desktop for the file save - runs in chat too)

2/ Metrics health check

Lists every metric Klaviyo is actively tracking, shows the last-fired timestamp and 30-day event volume, and flags anything that went quiet in 7+ days while it was previously firing regularly. The kind of entry it surfaces: "Submitted Form · last fired May 6 · investigate" - form tracking stops after a site update, while the form itself still works visually.

Try this in your Claude

3/ Abandoned cart flow audit

Returns recovery rate, carts captured, total revenue, revenue per recovered cart, and a per-message breakdown compared against the prior 60 days. The per-message breakdown shows which email in the sequence is doing the recovery work and which is dead weight.

A 2-point drop in recovery rate on 12,000 carts is roughly $22K in 60 days. That shift does not show up in a 30-day campaign summary. Get the prompts library here.

4/ Find the underperforming flow

Ranks every active flow by conversion rate and flags the bottom three with a one-line diagnosis each. "Win-Back 90-Day: 0.4% conv · likely issue: discount too small for the gap" - flows run continuously, so the ranking shifts week to week. This is the ops prompt that tells you which one is worth opening.

5/ Subscribed but never purchased

Breaks your list into tenure cohorts for subscribers who have never placed an order, with open and click rates per tier.

In the example, the segment was 18,200 profiles - 21% of the list. The 1-year+ cohort sits at around 4% open in most accounts and pulls down your overall deliverability. The 30-60 day tier is where a first-order push actually lands.

6/ High-spender pull for 1:1 outreach

Returns a ranked list of customers above a spend threshold who have not received a personal note yet - email, first name, total spend, order count, last order date. After you send, the connector flags each one, so the same names do not come back.

Example output: 47 customers, $84,200 in combined revenue. That is a list you can work through in two evenings. Get the prompts library here.

7/ Pre-send checklist

Runs before scheduling any campaign. Checks audience size, exclusion segments, subject line, preview text, merge tags, link integrity, and smart sending status, then returns SAFE TO SEND or HOLD WITH NOTES.

The exclusion check is the one that matters most: if the unsubscribed segment is not being pulled correctly, the send reaches people who have already opted out.

27 Klaviyo Prompts for Claude

The full playbook covers all 27 prompts across six sections - reporting, flows, segments, profiles, campaigns, and saved Cowork workflows. Each prompt shows the exact text to paste and a sample output so you know what it returns before you run it.

If you would rather have the full Claude setup done for you than do it manually, we are running free strategy calls for a handful of brands this month.
